Hi, I'm Veronica, Scrachee's founder.
There were many times when I felt like I couldn't do it anymore.
But there's one day I'll never forget.
I remember sitting on my bathroom floor, crying and feeling completely lost. My son was going through Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW). I couldn't find answers. Nothing seemed to bring him relief.
All I could think was,
"I don't know what else to do."
I spent hours researching. Reading. Comparing. Overanalyzing every little detail, convinced I was missing one piece that would finally make everything better.
The more I searched...
The more confused I became.
I remember begging him to stop scratching because I thought that if he could just stop, things would finally improve.
Today, I know that wasn't true.
Now I understand that he wasn't scratching because he wanted to.
His body was simply responding the only way it knew how.
But back then, I didn't understand that.
And that broke my heart too.
There were days when I truly thought about giving up.
Not because I stopped loving my son.
Quite the opposite.
I loved him so much that watching him suffer was breaking me too.
But every morning, I got up and tried again. Even when I was exhausted. Even when I felt like I was nowhere close to finding answers. Even when I was afraid I was doing everything wrong.
Looking back, there's one thing I wish someone had told me that day.
There were still options.
There were still people who could help us.
I didn't have to carry all of that weight by myself.
Not because there was a magic solution waiting for us.
But because when you feel like you've tried everything, sometimes the truth is that you simply haven't discovered all the options available to you yet.
That realization changed everything for me.
I learned that asking for help wasn't giving up.
It was moving forward.
So if you're feeling exhausted today...
If you feel like you've tried everything...
If you've been wondering what else you can possibly do...
I want to remind you of something.
You don't have to have all the answers today.
And you don't have to carry this journey alone.
Keep learning.
Keep asking questions.
Keep looking for support.
Sometimes the answer you need just hasn't crossed your path yet.
And that doesn't mean it isn't out there.
With love,
Veronica
